Static images:
What is a static image? A static image is a visual image that doesn't move, most static image communicate by combining visual elements with words, for instance like that image on the left, colouring, and huge lettering.
The reason they used huge lettering and bright and light red and white was because the huge lettering gets or catches the readers attention to read the sign. Bright and light red colouring was used to catch the peoples eyes, and the white is just another colour that goes nicely with the sign and also to also share positive actions, also having black as the background makes it easier for people to see what the picture, sign, or poster is trying to say, lastly the reason they used that font was because they wanted a font that was big and thick enough for people to understand.
What the photo or poster is conferencing is that people need to stop texting, calling, while driving, and have those words 'STOP IT!' makes it easier for people to understand the context of the message.
This static image shows that the creator of the sonic poster used colours like blue and dark backgrounds because he wanted to attract us the viewers to the posters. Why? Because he wants people to come watch his movie. The creator of the poster also used big thick fonts such as that specific one that says 'sonic'. Having a font like that mixed with the blue makes the poster look nice and cool making peoples minds think to themselves that the movie might actually be good to watch, just by reading the title. The blue combined with the words 'sonic' also symbolises electricity meaning we have an idea of what maybe the movie is about. We won't know unless we watch it.
