Wonder work... (118-157)...

1. What was Summer's initial reaction to August's face? Why did they become friends? She didn't care what he looked like, and how they become friends was when??? She didn’t really had an reaction because all the other kids didn’t ignored him and Summer didn’t really know why so she just sat with him. They became friends because they had names that were related to the season, summer or she just felt like it.
   
2. Summer isn't in the popular group at school, why is she invited to Savanna's party? So people can ask her questions about why being friends with August and the Julilan boy wanted to go out with Summer.
   
3. How does Summer foster a relationship with Auggie, in what ways is it beneficial for them both? Two of them are kind of in a similar situation like they have lost a family member each and they both have a rare symptom that other kids don’t have even though Summer’s one doesn’t affect her in anyway.
   
4. Part 4 starts with the quote "Now here is my secret. It is very simple. It is only with one's heart that one can see clearly. What is essential is invisible to the eye." What does it mean? I think it means that people that have a good heart can understand easily but the person with a bad heart doesn't really understand.
5. What was Jack's initial reaction to Mr Tushman's request to show August around school? What made Jack decide to say 'yes' to Mr Tushman’s request? Because no one else offered to show him around and jack thought that one would be his friend.
6. Friendship can be difficult. How does Jack feel about him and August becoming Ex-friends? How does he feel when he finds out why? He feels like can be a really good friend because they both tell funny and they laugh at each other all the time.
7. How was Jack provoked to punch Julian in the face? Explain why you think this was the right/wrong thing to do? It was wrong because jack ended up being suspended from school but at least he wrote a letter for Mr. Tushman.
8. How did reading Jack's point of view change your perception of his character? The way it changed my perception because ended being best friends with August.
9. Predict how you think Auggie will react to the news that Jack punched Julian. What effect will it have own their friendship? Auggie might cry, and they might not be best friends anymore.

Music

In music we did a choreography, to a song called This is me from a popular movie called the greatest showman. Doing the choreography for the first time was real hard and i was very sloppy for the first few practices, but as soon as i got the hang it, it ended up being a bit more easier. The moves that we are using for the choreography is great, and funny. The bit i really love about the choreography is the bit where we all jump. For my friends and I's costume will be black shorts, grey jersey and black shoes, and that is what we are wearing and what we are doing for music.

Science experiment...

In science we did an experiment where we had to write a line on the strip of paper and put a dot using vivid, we had a colour of our choice, which means the colour we picked was the yellow vivid. The aim was to see if the water would make the vivid and the line on the  paper slowly come down. Our water choices were, Solvent or Plain water. we used the plain water for our experiment but i reckon if we used Solvent water it probably would've had a different change or a difference in our experiment. 

Wonder work (part 4)...

1. Explain how the point of view in part 2 is different from that in part 1? Do they match up? The point of view is different cause its focusing on via not August.
2. In at least a paragraph, describe the challenges do you think Via might face being Auggie’s sister? That she feels sorry for him.
3. Via says “August is the Sun.” Explain what she means and why she feels this way? She's meaning that August is a bright kid because she doesn't want him to feel bad.
4. Do you agree with Via that she and her parents have made a mistake by always trying to make August feel like he is normal? Is this a problem? Explain. No, because everybody makes August feel like he's not normal but, if his sister and his parents treat him normally then he will get use to it and it won't bother him anymore.
5. Why does Via go by Olivia at high school? How is Via finding high school? She likes being called Olivia because of her home and her school is like a different sort.
6. What are the odds of Via having a child that looks like August? Do you think these are good odds? Explain. I don't really know but, it might be a 50% chance of being like Auggie.
7. Explore the character  Miranda? Why did she call August at the end of Part 2? Explain. She called him Major Tom? Because it was part of the space oddity song
8. Describe Via as a character? Do you empathise with her? Via is a caring sister to Auggie and she cares about what other people say to August.
9. What do you think will happen to August when he returns to school? People will look at him different like they won't look at him like the way they did on his first day of school.

Wonder Book (part 2)...

1. Star Wars is one of Auggie’s passions. Why do you think this is? Because he likes space. Do you see any reasons for Auggie to identify with these characters, or to aspire to be like them? Yes because he is like a jedi
2. What questions did Julian ask August? Julian asked August were you in a fire, did you get burned. why did August want to slide under the desk? Because he was trying to hide. Explain why Julian asked those questions? Because the principle gave them permission.
3. Mr Browne’s September Precept was 'When given the choice between being right or being kind, choose kind'. Do you agree with this precept? Explain. Yes because your not always gonna be right be being kind is something you will always do instead of being right.
4. In the chapter One to Ten, August is feeling mad with his mother but he's not sure why. Explain why you think he was mad? Because he didn't know his mum were gonna send him to school.
5. August invited his whole class to his birthday party but not many kids came. Why do you think they didn't go? Because of what he looked like.
6. August says he has an 'Aversion' to getting his picture taken. What is an aversion? It means a strong disliked person or something. Why does Auggie have an aversion to having his picture taken? Because he doesn't like his face being seen.
7. Why does no one want to touch August? How do you think this makes him feel? It makes him feel sad because everyone just looks at him.
8. Did your opinion of Jack Will change after August overheard him talking to Julian? Yes.
9. Do you think August will go back to school? Yes. Predict what will happen next? August will become popular.
