Festivals of the arts-Pop art... pt.2

What is Pop art? 
Pop art is a type of art that is based on popular Art and modern culture 
it's an ironic comment traditional exceptional art values.

 The thing I find interesting about Pop art is that Pop art became very famous in the 1960's and it also started in the united kingdom.

 What I want to find out about Pop art is how did Pop art become very famous. I also want to find out how Pop art began.
